With about a week to go before the scouting exercise for the inaugural Africa’s Next Top Model (ANTM) starts, Malawi has been left out of the competition that seeks to promote the career of models on the continent.

Africa’s Next Top Model follows supermodel hopefuls from all over the continent as they strive to prove they have what it takes to make in the cut-throat world of modelling.

Africa’s Next Top Model will conduct a continent wide search to find 12 top contenders who will compete for the coveted modeling contract and have the dream of a lifetime come true.

According to the page, scouting starts on July 6 in Maputo, Mozambique then Johannesburg South Africa on the 9th, Nairobi, Kenya on 14 and Accra, Ghana on the 20th.

The ANTM scouting team will resume the exercise on July 23 in Lagos, Nigeria on the 23rd, 28 July in Luanda, Angola before heading back to South Africa, Cape Town on August 1. Ivory Coast and Tanzania will be the last stops.
